Unlock is back and better than ever before!

The post-Cold War order cannot be taken for granted anymore. With Russia spearheading brutal alliances of convenience, all pretence of following the rules has evaporated. The global geopolitical landscape has changed dramatically and democracies have so far been unable to stand against the tide. Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia are in the crosshairs of a revanchist Russia, and civil society in these countries is under unprecedented pressure.

Future Lands: Call for short documentary film ideas

The Prague Civil Society Centre, in cooperation with WATCH DOCS IFF and Current Time TV, is launching a call for story ideas to be developed into short documentary films by young documentary and video makers from Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia. Story ideas should offer reflections and perspectives of societies as they are today and how they could be tomorrow in the context of post-imperialism: the discoveries, re-discoveries, transformations, and imagination of identities of those societies.

An ideathon for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction

In partnership with the International Renaissance Foundation, we are now accepting applications for Unlock Ukraine, an ideathon for civil society engaged in Ukraine’s reconstruction. Imagine buildings destroyed by shells being rebuilt with ramps for inclusive access. Imagine developers respecting green spaces in the reconstruction process. Imagine sustainable, livable communities rising from the rubble.

Strengthening Ukraine’s voice in the EU

An open call for grants to Ukrainian civic organisations and initiatives to support them in building partnerships with other European counterparts. We want to give Ukrainian organisations an opportunity to establish partnerships in other European countries, strengthen new solidarity networks that popped up in response to the full-blown invasion, and foster more long-term exchange between Ukrainian organisations and key partners in other European countries.

Sustainability through social entrepreneurship

Are you a member of a non-profit, civil society organisation or independent media outlet in Armenia with an idea for a social business that can boost your sustainability? The Prague Civil Society Centre and Impact Hub Yerevan invite you to submit your idea and apply for a workshop on social entrepreneurship followed by a funding competition.
