Grants Officer

The Prague Civil Society Centre seeks a Grants Officer to join its growing Grants team.

Tasks & Responsibilities

The Grants Officer will be part of the Grants team and will work under the supervision of Grants Administration Manager in close cooperation with the respective Programme Officer. The Grants Officer will oversee the implementation of grants throughout the whole project cycle, including contracting, payments, and monitoring and evaluation.

In particular, he/she is responsible for:

  • Providing support to the Programme Officer during the selection process;
  • Contracting (including risk assessments) of potential partners;
  • Processing payments;
  • Monitoring and evaluating project implementation, including reviewing reports. Potential to participate in monitoring visits to the region;
  • Archiving and maintaining audit-ready files;
  • Other tasks related to the implementation of grants and communication with partners.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Fluency in written and spoken English;
  • At least communicative level of Russian (A2-B1) is required (the Centre can contribute to the cost of language courses if needed);
  • At least one year of work experience, preferably in non-governmental or public sector. Experience in a relevant field, e.g. grant making, project administration, project management, is an advantage;
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Word and Excel);
  • Cybersecurity literacy;
  • High-level of self-organisation, reliability and diligence in approach to work;
  • Proactive—ability to work independently and prioritise tasks;
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, able to work in a multi-national team;
  • Personal integrity and dedication to the mission of the organisation.

The position is full-time (40 hours per week) and comes with a competitive salary and 25 days of annual leave.
