The Prague Civil Society Centre is a non-profit organisation that supports and empowers civil society and independent media in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. Designed to operate in the harshest of conditions, we do everything we can to support those working towards more open, free, and democratic futures – no matter how far away that may seem today. We believe that a vibrant civil society and independent media are key to this. We work to ensure that activists, journalists, and changemakers of all kinds, many of whom work under the most repressive regimes, get the support they need to push for change, be it grants, capacity building, or connections.
About the role:
The Prague Civil Society Centre has been implementing a two-year project in the EaP+ region focused on boosting civic resilience and connectivity. To enhance our understanding of the project’s progress, we are commissioning an external evaluator to conduct an assessment and deliver a comprehensive analysis of effective practices and opportunities for future improvement.
Services will be required over a four-month period from January 2026 to the end of April 2026.
Core competencies:
- Knowledge of EaP+ civil society landscape and understanding of its challenges
- Excellent English language skills and preferably knowledge of one other regional language
- Experience with monitoring and evaluation tools and approaches
- Experience with collecting and securely handling qualitative data in a sensitive context
- Ability to travel to the region
